gone gone gone oh yes

I am SO tired.

Today I did my last CU meeting as president and held a 'handover' meeting in my room, minus most of the old committe, over cheese on toast.

I'm FRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I've drunk too much diet coke

And I'm shell shocked from all that's happened

And I'm also really exicted for the new committe which has just literally come together in the last 24hrs...phew....I would like to say 'God, that was cutting it a little close, non?!' but who am I to judge the sovereignty of the Divine. God is cool. uber cool.

Ah, wing-ing it: is an art form. I'm sure that it hasn't really taken just a day to decide over who is on the next comitee; I'm sure it will have taken you months of thought and prayer and judging from your previous posts, I'm sure that the clumps of hair missing from your head is a worthy sign of how stressful it has been!

It just reminds me of the (oh so many) times when Lord Zebu, Benny, myself and a few others'd get together- literally fifteen minutes before a our CU meeting and put a few worship songs together and pray, desperately hard, that God might intervene! Surprisingly, they were some of the most creative times of musicianship and worship I have ever experienced(!) Hehe...

Hey Jonathan!! Welcome!!

Yeah, when I say 'literally come together' I don't mean a last minute job on my part..but months of not really knowing who could/should be 'eligible' (!!)yeah, months of anxiety and clumps of hair would be an accurate description!! Amongst, of course, lots of prayer and trust that God would carry it all on anyway!

That said, winging it is a creat ministry method...erherm...which i am PARTICULARLY skilled at!! :)

Welcome Benny! It's good to 'see' you again. How you holdin' up at Birmingham? Pod has kept us posted with some of the recent (not so nice) events. Nothing like being thrown in at the deep end, huh? We received your newsletter the other day; thankyou. And yes, those were the days! Hopefully, I'll be seein' more of you, now that I now know WHERE YOU LIVE. *cue ominous music*

Thanks for the nice welcome.

Once upon a time I used to blog quite regularly, but stopped due to... err... stuff. I might try to keep up something regular from now on - but nothing profound.

Oh, by the way - I have photos of Pod that you may be interested in...

Padraig,

I feel that you haven't made much use of the Pod Love Token that I kindly gave you for your personal use...

Nat

Who's this Pardraig fellow anyhow? I don't remember anyone of that name at Derby... hmmm...

Anyhow, for those of you interested in the truth, it was Pod who swore infront of the CU - on a houseparty - when he was playing the intro to "There's a place". Actually he swore twice; once when his phone rang, and once when he realised that he just swore! Those were the days my friend...

And he's not MUCH more of a reformed character these days...

Send the photos my way...

"There is only one girl that has my pod love!"
